Built for Sir James Miller, a nouveau riche baronet who married into the traditional aristocracy, Manderston House was designed by architect John Kinross whom when he enquired as to how much he could spend on the estate, was told ‘it simply doesn’t matter’.

This certainly shows, with its lavish grounds, ornate gardens and of course the beautiful stately house. Now home to Lord and Lady Palmer, the country mansion is open to visitors interested in its history and grounds, as well companies looking for a retreat and engaged couples wanting to wed in stunning surroundings.
