Manderston is a magnificent Edwardian stately home in the Scottish Borders. It is available for exclusive hire for weddings, corporate events, photo shoots and filming.

A Unique Treasure

The original house was built in the 18th century and remodelled by architect John Kinross in 1905. A house on which no expense was spared, Manderston has opulent state rooms including a ballroom and marble hall, the only silver staircase in the world and extensive ‘downstairs’ domestic quarters.

Manderston offers clients the complete events package. Each event is unique and tailored to the client’s exact requirements. At every stage of arranging an event our dedicated and enthusiastic events team are on hand to provide clients with the knowledge and experience to make their event utterly unforgettable.

A Picturesque Setting

The house is surrounded by 60 acres of beautiful formal gardens, immaculate garden terraces, a unique marble dairy and picturesque countryside, all set against the backdrop of the hills of the Borders. On the south side of the house lies a lake overlooked by a boathouse in the style of an oak panelled alpine chalet. To the south of the lake is the Woodland Garden containing many rare species of rhododendrons and azaleas which are glorious in the spring and summer. The Stables are walking distance from the house.
